Drummondtown Baptist Church began their Annual July 4th BBQ in 2003 and it’s been a staple in the community ever since. It’s a church-wide effort and all funds raised are placed in our Youth and Children Ministries fund. Those funds have helped send our Youth to Canandaigua, NY to work through Group Work Camps in 2006. They also helped send another group to Puerto Rico in 2010. Local mission efforts that our Youth participate in also benefit, including Habitat for Humanity and The Walk to End Alzheimers to name a few. The BBQ takes place immediately after Accomac’s Annual July 4th celebration and 200-300 lbs of pork sell out every year. In 2017, through pre-order sales, and the purchase of one pound containers, sandwiches and cole slaw, the total raised for DBC's Youth and Childrens' Ministry was $1464.00. The bake sale and drink table raised $485.75 for DBC's Walk to End Alzheimer's Team.
